Thursday, April 21, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  |  George Anthony Morton works with each student in this intimate workshop suitable for intermediate and advanced students or beginning students with some familiarity in drawing and studio practice. Using graphite/charcoal on paper (and other mediums, including oil paint, with consent of instructor), each student works at his/her own pace with guided instruction, class demos and easel-to-easel individual attention.

Brian So Trifoliate Award Dinner

Sunday, April 24, 5:30 – 10 p.m.  |  Driven by a reverence for high-quality, peak-season ingredients Chef Brian So is a master of subtlety. He believes in pure and simple “honest” food that speaks for itself. The Trifoliate Awards were created as an annual series to exult culinary excellence in the American South. Conceived during the COVID-19 lockdown, these inaugural awards are intended to celebrate and give a platform to the leading voices who have emerged in this trying new reality. Held at The Farmhouse at Serenbe, each award dinner is an intimate gathering emphasizing a sense of place with ingredients harvested in Serenbe. Proceeds from ticket sales support This Postage Stamp of Native Soil, a non-profit oral history project based in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.

Andrew Nemr’s Rising To The Tap

Saturday, April 30, 8 p.m.  |  Settle in for a breath-taking solo performance at the Art Farm at Serenbe with one of the most diverse tap dance artists today and “master tapper” Andrew Nemr. You’ll journey through the dramatic departure of Andrew’s parents from war-torn Lebanon, to his victimization at the hands of bullies during his childhood in New Jersey, to his eventual mentorship under legendary tap greats Jimmy Slyde, Savion Glover and Gregory Hines, leading to a radical new understanding of himself and his own racial identity.
